Accepted formats by destination
Certification requirements differ by country. We prepare each translation to the published requirements of your receiving authority.
United States
USCIS requires a full English translation with the translator’s certification of accuracy and competence (8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)). No accreditation or notarization is required. Our certificate meets this format.
United Kingdom
UKVI requires the translator’s confirmation of accuracy, date, full name, signature, and contact details. Our certificate includes all required elements, plus translator credentials for in-UK applications.
Australia
The Department of Home Affairs accepts translations by translators outside Australia without NAATI accreditation, provided the translator’s details, qualifications, and experience are stated. Our certificate states them.
Canada
IRCC accepts translations by a translator fluent in both languages, supported by a sworn affidavit. We prepare the affidavit and have it notarized in Japan. The required package can also include a certified copy of the original; we confirm what we provide and what you may need to arrange before you pay. Quoted per order.
Some authorities accept translations only from designated translators, such as Australian state licensing authorities and some US state DMVs. The order form will tell you before you pay. Details in the FAQ.
