Common questions
Is a juminhyo the same as a koseki?
No. The koseki records family events (birth, marriage, death) tied to your registered domicile; the juminhyo records where you actually live now (or lived, for a jokyo/removed record). Immigration procedures often require both — we translate both at the same per-page rate.
I left Japan. Can I still get a juminhyo?
After moving out, municipalities issue a removed residence record (juminhyo no jokyo). It shows your final registered address and moving-out date, and is what overseas procedures usually accept for past residence in Japan. We translate these regularly.
