Affidavits are legal instruments: the translation has to preserve the declaratory structure — who swears, what is sworn, before whom — without paraphrasing. We translate them clause by clause, keeping the numbering and formatting of the original so both versions can be read side by side.

Usually not — the translation is attached to the executed original with our signed certification. Whether the receiving party requires anything further (such as notarization of the translation itself) is their call; check with them, and if they do, contact us about arrangements in Japan.
